On Location Workshops
Travel and photography are a great match, and there are so many great places to explore and photograph.

About 10 years ago, I decided to start offering some on location workshops. These are typically 3 - 5 days in length. I pick locations that I have visited in the past, and spend considerable time scouting and preparing the itnierary.

For 2025, I am running the Route 66 in Arizona Workshop. In addition, I will be scouting some new areas for 2026. Since scouting takes time, I won't be running a winter workshop this year. For 2026, I am planning to add a winter and spring workshop.

The Mother Road, Route 66, the original route between Chicago and Los Angeles, has been made famous in movies, songs, and television shows. Sadly, much of Route 66 was abandoned when the interstate system was put in place.

Arizona contains a treasure trove of locations plus amazing natural beauty as well. This workshop visits everything from national parks and monuments to historic towns, and abandoned spaces. We spend three full days exploring and photographing this great area.
