Fall Photography Along Summit Avenue in St. Paul
Summit Avenue features historic mansions, mature trees, and fall decorations.
This will be a leisurely walk with plenty of time to capture some great fall photos. Don will provide tips and guidance along the way.

We will begin with a short discussion at Caribou Coffee at 757 Grand Ave. in St. Paul
I will cover camera settings, technique, composition, tracking, and safety. Following the discussion, we will head out to photograph the area.
You will need to bring a camera that allows for manual cameral settings, and a lens that can range in focal length from 24mm to 105mm.

Light Painting at Franconia Sculpture Garden
George Eastman said, “Light makes photography. Embrace Light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography.” Regardless of the type of photography you do, light painting will help you improve your ability to see and understand light. Besides, it is just plain fun!
Join professional photographer, Don Tredinnick, as we experiment with different light sources to create some amazing images.
Don has spent time at many locations around the U.S. light painting everything from artwork to ghost towns. The results are photos that are truly unique.

During the field trip, Don will demonstrate the use of flashlights, fiber optics, light pens, light wands, and a few other tools. We will create as a group and offer participants the opportunity to do the actual painting.
For this class you will need a camera, tripod, sturdy footwear, your camera's manual, and a lens or lenses with focal lengths between 24 and 70mm

Holiday Lights Photo Walk
Capturing images of holiday lights can be both fun and challenging.
The Lino Lakes area has some magnificent displays all located within a few streets.
During the photo walk, Don will provide tips and assistance that will allow you to take some fantastic photos.

We will begin with a short discussion where Don will provide several tips for holiday light lights photography including some creative use of zoom lenses and long exposures.
For this class you will need a DSLR or Mirrorless camera, one or more of the following a lens of lenses capable of covering a focal length range between 24 and 105mm, a remote shutter release, hand warmers and a tripod.
