On Location Workshops

For 2019 we will be offering 2 on location workshops highlighting some of my favorite places to photograph.  In addition, there is still one workshop left for 2018.  Our goal is to help you learn techniques to create better pictures.  In order to do this we will spend time in both the classroom and the field.  In the field we spend one on one time with each student providing tips on everything from camera settings to composition.

There is nothing like fall in the North woods.  The leaves are changing, the bugs are gone, and scenery is spectacular.  This workshop is based out of Ely Minnesota which gives us the added benefit of being able to spend some time at the International Wolf Center photographing the wolves.

In addition to the fall colors, we will also spend time photographing waterfalls, and the town of Ely.

Northern Minnesota - Fall Scenes, Waterfalls, & Wolves

September 27 - 29, 2019

With their long manes, and great colors, mustangs make fantastic subjects.  Added to that, we will be shooting during prime fall colors in a great wetting along the Mississippi River.  This is a workshop that promises to be both fun and educational.

As an added bonus we will also get to photograph dogs herding sheep.

Mustang Photography Retreat

October 11 - 13, 2019

Early winter is a great time to visit the Badlands of South Dakota and the surrounding areas.  With the crowds being gone, the opportunity to view wildlife greatly increases.  In addition to the wildlife, we will also be capturing sunrises, sunsets, night skies, and ghost towns.  The low sun angle at this time of year will allow us to shoot all day.
