Fall Scenes, Waterfalls and Wolves
Fall is a great time to be in northern Minnesota. Ely has amazing color in the fall. Being at the edge of the BWCAW, there are all sorts of great unspoiled views.
In addition to the fall colors, we also get early admission to the International Wolf Center. This allows us to photograph the wolves before the center is open to the general public.
Over the course of the weekend, we will visit many of my favorite locations.

Mustang Photography Retreat
Horses, dogs, and sheep - Located on the bank of the Mississippi River, Riverside Mustangs and Collies is a great venue for photographing these animals.
This workshop combines traditional animal photography with some more creative techniques. The result is that you will learn some new techniques, and come away with some one of a kind photos.

Badlands and Ghost Towns
No matter what time of the year, the Badlands is a great destination. In the early winter, with a little bit of snow, the formations are at their best. Early December is also the time to find big horn sheep, and bison. With very few visitors to the park, they tend to be closer to the road.
We also visit some ghost towns. I have always wondered what some of the stories are behind these places.
