Holi Powder Dog Photography

Get unique photos of your dog taken by professional photographers from Frozen HIker Photography and Twin Eyes Photography.

We use a corn starch based colored powder available in multiple colors. We also have multiple background settings from which you can choose.

The photoshoot lasts approximately 30 minutes. We begin with several dry-runs in order to determine how high the dog will jump, as well as, how to get the dog to perform.

What to Expect

Holi Powder and Your Dog

Your dog will retain some of the color for a couple of weeks. Using a high powered blower along with brushing helps to remove a lot of the powder. Avoid getting the powder wet as this can make it harder to remove. You will also want to protect the seats in your vehicle from the powder on your way home.

You can also expect to get powder on your skin and clothes. While the colors should wash out of your clothes, it is always better to be safe and wear clothes that you do not mind getting covered in the powder.

How We Place the Powder on Your Dog

The powder is placed on the back, behind the head. This approach results in the powder blowing behind the dog and not into the dog's face.

It is important for you to keep your dog from shaking prior to the jump as this will make most of the powder fly off the dog before they make their run.
